Fact
SAM consulting and service is usually offered as an additional service by software distributors, so-called resellers. This is always very tempting, as these services are offered very cheaply or even free of charge. In addition, the reseller has the best overview of which licenses were procured when, where and from whom.
With the foundation of Dittler Consulting, we have made a conscious decision not to trade with software licenses. This way we avoid possible conflicts of interest and can ensure for each customer that we implement the qualitatively optimal solutions in all areas.
Since software asset management is always and primarily a process issue, the consultants we employ are appropriately trained and experienced for the respective assignment.
Independence & Transparency
At Dittler Consulting we see independence from any software vendor or as our highest asset! This also applies to the manufacturers of SAM and ITAM tools.
In the partnership agreements of the software manufacturers, there are often clauses that oblige the partner to regularly submit certain customer reports and business development plans or, if necessary, even to initiate a license audit or to support it in any case (in the sense of the manufacturer).
Because Dittler Consulting transparently does not enter into any of these partnerships, each of our clients can be sure that:
we always and exclusively act in the interest of the customer
we always find the (more than) optimized procurement channel
we support every customer (more than) optimally in case of a license audit, since we are not obliged to provide information to anyone other than the client!
in a tool evaluation project, each vendor always gets the same chance and your company definitely gets the best solution for your situation
all solutions are documented transparently and comprehensibly
Control & Compliance
As already mentioned, efficient software asset management is mainly mastered through process analysis and optimization. This requires consultants who understand your industrial needs (e.g., use of industry-specific hardware and software) and can put them into the right context of experience and "best practices" (e.g., COBIT Foundation).
At dittler, we rely on our own experience from almost 20 years and countless customer projects, as well as on our large network of consultants who are specialized on specific sub-disciplines.
Thus, there is no topic at our customers, no matter how exotic (e.g. software manufacturer and title, complex organizational structure, industry-specific regulations, ...), that we cannot map.
